Staying Well and Connected - Darebin City Council

Darebin City Council, like many organisations, has been tested like never before during 2020. With business not as usual, Darebin had to shift its focus rapidly, structuring a COVID response that served the community and supported staff through a period of upheaval, while delivering crucial and valued community services and keeping people safe. In Melbourne’s north, Darebin City Council has been among the most impacted areas in Australia for COVID-19, requiring enormous resilience from staff and leaders.

Darebin realised early on that the most important thing for navigating turbulent times was having strong foundations. This meant focusing on their people, and supporting them to stay well and stay connected.
