Cultivating Change Capability - Charles Sturt University

With the world changing at such a rapid rate, organisations will need to take on a broader perspective, to not just focus on present change but to also anticipate and prepare for future changes. What then, can organisations do to ensure that they have a strong foundation that is capable of driving and supporting change?

This year, we recognise an organisation that was able to cultivate a strong foundation for change in the face of significant internal and external challenges in the higher education sector. Winner of this year's “Change Challenge - Enterprise Category Award”, Charles Sturt University is part of the Regional Universities Network, with more than 2000 staff across campuses located all around Australia. Charles Sturt University is ranked number 1 for graduate employment, and is currently Australia's leading online university of choice. It was an early adopter of Voice Project’s staff engagement survey, which it has been using since 2003 to guide the development of organisational capability.

Change Management Presentation

From the whole Voice Project team, we would all like to thank everyone who attended our Change Challenge webinar. We hope you enjoyed hearing from Charles Sturt University's Fiona Murphy (Director of Culture, Capability & Wellbeing) and Genevieve Doyle (Manager, Strategic Change Management) on how they built organisational capability for change, the challenges they faced and what they have learned along the way. A recording of the webinar and copies of the slides can be found below.
